If we cannot be like angels – not to fall, then at least we will not be like demons – not to repent. – Elder Dionysius (Ignat) Kolitsou Skete, Mt. Athos

We run in fear from our sins…which is exactly what our enemy desires. He has us on both sides – he pries into our souls and slips in his thoughts into our weakest parts. He lures. Whispers. Tempts. Then, if we succumb, he is the first to point his finger at us in judgment – “You are a sinner! Run and hide from your God just like your ancestor Adam!”

We do not need to run. We do not need to hide. God already knows what we have done. Christ has already been nailed to the cross because of it. The penalty has been paid. Let us confess what we have done, then, and turn our faces back to Jesus.
