gaze-on-jesus:

“I’ve always loved you, and when you love someone, you love the whole person, just as he or she is, and not as you would like them to be.”

— Leo Tolstoy, Anna Karenina (via feellng)

Come let us give up the vain conceit of our hearts where we believe we know the best for someone else. How can we possible know what is best for another when we are continually fooled by our very selves? Let us love wholly and fully just as God loves us. Remember – He didn’t wait for us to become holy before coming to us. He came while we were covered in the defacation of our sin. In our worst state He came and kissed our wounds.
