To wait upon the Lord is not waiting at all. It is letting go of our self-deceptions and holding on to the hem of the garment of Christ. It is to grasp the hand of Jesus in our blindness and let Him lead.

It is my own hubris that believes my timing is better. More accurate. Yet, somehow, always wrong. God, who stands outside of time, is never late. He seems to be always wating at our meeting spot, looking at me, tapping his watch.
