It is the gift of God to see ourselves as we really are. God Himself opens our eyes and gives us sight.

The salve of His grace is poured upon the eyes of our souls – and the miracle of sight is regained.

And in this newfound sight what do we behold? That in our blindness we yearned to see Him. We grasped at the hem of His robe but could not find Him. Yet He was here all along. Right next to us.
