We will never know the story of God’s deep love for us – such an immense love for us that he would sacrifice Himself in our place – without reading the Holy Scripture. God reveals Himself to us in the reading of the Word. That Word meets us there. And He continues to meet us in our meditations on the Scriptures, our prayers to Him and our contemplation of his Majesty and Mystery.

But we have to start with the Word.
