What we have been taught about Power is absolutely twisted.
When teaching a group about forgetting yourself, one person asked, “If forgetting myself is such a good thing, why is it that selfish and ego driven people seem to be winning all of the time? Making the most money? Having the power?”
It is only in our world-formed concept of Power that we can conceive this. Our view must be skewed to end on this note.
All the world claims as Power is fleeting. It is sand through the fingers. And those who wield it fret each night that it will slip away. It is deceiving to the owner and to the subject. It is a false robe the wearer knows is not hiding his nakedness, but hopes no one will notice.
True Power is in the humility of being forgotten. In letting go of oneself. In being clothed by Christ where no fear exists. No one can hurt you as there is no you to hurt. Only Christ.
In Christ we can do all things.
