I have often spent time meditating on the crucifixion of Peter. He and I are true kinsmen. He found himself denying his God. Then when the time came to suffer like Him, he found himself unworthy. Still remembering his betrayal, he was unfit to suffer like Jesus. He had to suffer differently. Worse. Crucify me upside down as I am not worthy to suffer like my Christ. Yes, Peter, you and I are not different at all. We don’t easily forget our sins.
