Here is a unique perspective that, I suspect, will rub some people the wrong way. It is contrary to the modern mind to think that Religion (and, of course, what is meant by that?) is disconnected from so many things we hold dear – most notably philosophy. In this particular instance I think that this is in reference to rationalism.

Religion cannot be proven. It is absurd to rational thought. But here is the catch…Religion is as suitable a subject to rational examination as that Love in your life whom you hold so dear. The Rationalist can never prove that this Love is really there and that he or she truly loves you. But you know that this very special person does love you. And you know it without any rational proofs. You know because you have experienced the love yourself.

God is like this.
