It is the lie whispered in our ear: You cannot do it. There is no hope. Notice the way of our Adversary – he says You. You cannot do it. For You there is no hope. Our enemy is smarter and more cunning than we can ever be. He mixes truth and lies as one would wrap a sour medicine in a sweet meat. He is right – You cannot do it. You cannot create your own hope. But he fails to tell you that God can.

Take his lies and bend them inside of yourself to our real state. We cannot make this journey alone. God will make it for us. God will make it through us. Our task is to look to the cross.
