We cannot see anyone through the lens of our own ego. The ego itself creates such a distortion that our brothers and sisters are transformed from beautiful children of God to a type of monstrosity that exist to do our bidding. And in this place, there is no peace.

Do you want peace? Rip away the very essence of yourself. I want. I need. I deserve. I am. And put on Christ. Not a picture of Christ. Not the thought of Christ. Put on Christ, Himself. And when He has become your Life, you will see that your crucifixion is at hand.
