There is a misnomer in Christianity that the desire of Christians to save others is some type of mass conversion. Or a desire to win over other people. This is not true. This is not a “we versus they” situation. We are not in competition with each other.
We are all dying. We are all drowning in the quagmire of our sin. It is only God who can pull us from the pit of our own making. We are giving a loving hand to anyone who is asking for help. Begging to be free. We hold out Truth to those who are disgusted by the lies of their lives. Just as we are disgusted by the lies we have lived. We are finding brothers. Finding sisters. And welcoming them home. We are a prodigal embracing prodigals.
And together we stand in awe of our risen Christ. Our Salvation.
