“My God, Jesus my
Love, Uncreated Goodness, what would have become of me if you had not
drawn me to yourself?
Open your heart to me, open to me your sacramental
breast; I open mine to you.“

~St. Gemma Galgani

Our communion with God is bi-directional. God opened Himself to us first. While we were still sinning. Despising. Resenting. Running. He opened the wounds of His side, hands, feet, brow to us so that we could peer inside of the Love of God. So that we could find the only place to hide.

Then, in the safety of His wounds, we can open ourselves to Him. Show Him all that has scared us. Haunted us. Oppressed us. And he washes it clean. Kisses our broken souls. And makes us whole.
