Look around you. Look at the people. The signs. The words. The gestures. The accolades.

Do you see humility heralded? Do you see humility awarded? Do you hear words of deference spoken?

When was the last time you saw a billboard that said “Humble yourselves in the sight of others.” or “You think too highly of yourself!”

Is it any wonder why we are drowning in the deluge of our own false virtues?
