I have tried to hide from Him. Even as Adam his among the bushes hoping that He would pass by. So have I also hidden in the darkness. In the shadowed corners of my soul.

I didn’t want His words. I didn’t want His Truth. I didn’t want to remember that He was there. Always seeing. Always knowing.

I wanted to be the All-seeing One. The All-knowing One. I wanted to be the master of my own designs. I wanted to be King of my own life.

Yet, what I really wanted, below all of the superficial arguments. Below every justification. Was my own sin. My own lust.

God have mercy.
