What is said of Simon the magician, is an epitaph for most of my life. A sign post over my head placed as a warning for passers-by:

You have held onto your sin in spite of seeing God. You have loved your wickedness more than the mercy of Christ. You have always loved yourself. You have never loved God.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me a sinner.
